Your BMW X2 Sport Activity Vehicle is yet another descendant of the family of Ultimate Driving Machines from BMW. It's the perfect way to carry family, friends, pets, soccer balls, dancing gear, yard sale finds and so on.
At the end of the day, and in order to keep it up to the task, your BMW X2 requires proper BMW-approved maintenance in order to keep it that way. To that end, the company has designed a service schedule that will keep your BMW running like new, helping to maintain its value, as well. Along the way, regular maintenance will help to keep your overall service costs down.
Lubrication: Motor oil is the most important fluid coursing through the veins of your BMW vehicle. The increased use of synthetic motor oils now work in your favor, extending the time between oil changes. That way, you will visit the service department at BMW of Wyoming Valley less frequently than before.
BMW has scheduled oil changes for the BWM X2 at a 10,000 mile/12 month service interval, whichever comes first. At this service interval, your Wyoming Valley service technician will also replace your oil filter, which is designed to keep dirt and debris from entering the inside of your BMW X2 engine.
While the oil change occurs every 10,000 miles, there are basic service
intervals that occur at the 5,000 and 10,000 mile mark.
At this point,
your BMW service technician will rotate tires and examine their tread
depth, set the tire pressure to the level of inflation, examine exterior
light bulbs, and inspect the front and rear brake components, including
brake pads and rotors.
Finally, the service mechanic will top off all
fluids, and perform a check for any open campaigns and recall notices,
in an effort to keep your BMW X2 performing like a BMW.

During the intermediate
service that occurs every 15,000 miles, an oil and oil filter change is
once again at the top of the list.
In addition, your Wyoming Valley BMW
mechanic will inspect the condition of the drive axle boots, the engine
air filter, the in-cabin air filter, the brake fluid levels, the
operation of the cooling system and a check for coolant leaks, a
complete inspection of steering, exhaust and suspension components, the
fuel lines, and finally reset all maintenance and warning lights.
Every
30,000 miles, it's time for a major service that includes all the
component inspections of the basic and intermediate services, but adds a
replacement of the air filter, in-cabin air filter and an inspection of
the ignition wires and distributor cap.
Please remember that the above services will repeat themselves every 5,000-, 10,000-, 15,000-, and 30,000-miles, respectively. Consult with your BMW X2 Owner's Manual and your BMW of Wyoming Valley service advisor for more information.
Tires: In addition to the checks performed by your Wyoming Valley service provider, you too, with a common pressure gauge, can check your tire's air pressure and tread depth. It's the easiest (and at one cent, the cheapest) way to check your tire's life.

But
wait, there's more. (Isn't there always?) There are other aspects of
car care that need to be monitored and corrected from time to time. That
includes all-wheel alignment from the Wyoming Valley Parts and Service
department.
Consider an alignment service like a visit to the
chiropractor for your vehicle. If, for example, your BMW X2 drifts off to
the left or right while you are cruising down a long straight Interstate
highway, chances are it's a good candidate for an alignment.
Before
they perform the service, make sure to have your tires rotated too, so
they are receiving equal wear at all four corners. Consult with your BMW
X2 owner's manual for more information.

Windshield Wipers:
Windshield wipers are critical pieces of safety kit, but they have the
ability to wear out, even if they aren't used too much. Blame the
elements, specifically high heat, humidity and UV rays on a shortened
life. Those three elements cause them to powder, deteriorate, and smear
whether they have been used or not.
On the other hand, extreme cold can
cause the rubber to become brittle and in some cases, even break. If you
find it hard to see while behind the wheel of your BMW X2, perhaps it's
time for a change. The BMW of Wyoming Valley Parts department will
stock the exact replacement parts.

Place a penny with a crisp rendering of
President Abe Lincoln head first into the tire tread. If the X2's tire
tread covers his ears, you are good to continue on. If you can see any
air above Lincoln's head, it's time for an immediate change.
Bald should
only be on babies and eagles. Not your tires. Our BMW of Wyoming Valley
Parts and Service Department will have exact replacements for your BMW X2,
all at competitive prices.
