But such a strong machine deserves to be covered as well.
That's why BMW has compiled a list of scheduled services that will keep your BMW X6M running at the top of its game. The professional mechanics and service advisors at BMW of Wyoming Valley are factory trained to know everything there is to know about your BMW X6M. With that in mind, why would you take it anywhere else?
Unlike vehicles in the past, modern BMWs utilize the Condition Based Service (CBS) system to determine when it's appropriate for an oil change, replacement of the brake fluid and so on. As part of this BMW system, your X6M utilizes a series of sensors and algorithms to keep track of the needs of your Wyoming Valley BMW. Unlike a baby or your pet rabbit, your BMW X6M will be able to let you know it needs some service.

The Condition Based Service system is so innovative that it will alert you that it is time for a change of the oil, coolant, brakes, steering fluid and more based on the road conditions you are and have been driving on. For instance, if you have been driving in normal situations you may not receive an alert for an oil change until nearly 10,000 miles. On the other hand, if you have been towing a trailer, driving up and down mountain grades, through windswept desert regions or in severe stop and go traffic, it may alert you at 5,000 miles that now is a better time to change your oil because of the extreme abuse it has just been through. Â
The system is extremely good, but it doesn't alert you to certain other needs of your BMW of Wyoming Valley X6M. For example, you need to remember to rotate the tires every 5,000 miles on your BMW X6M, so they receive equal wear at all four corners of the vehicle. During the rotation, your mechanics at the BMW of Wyoming Valley service department will also perform a multi-point inspection and top off your fluids.
Continuing on through 10,000 miles, your mechanics will change the oil and filter- if they have not already done so-within the last 3,000 miles. Additionally, they will also do and inspection and adjustment on the steering system, a check of the suspension and a thorough check of the cooling system as well as the brake pads and rotors. Finally, they will once again perform the multi-point inspection and topping off of fluids including transmission, coolant, steering, brake fluids and other critical items.

Further on down the road at approximately 15,000 miles or so, your second oil change should be performed. It again will be joined by a tire rotation and full inspection of certain components of your BMW X6M. Fluid, Filters and other expendables are what they are looking for, to make sure your X6M is performing at peak performance.
At the 30,000 mile interval, it definitely is time for another oil and filter change, a tire rotation and in the immediate near future a replacement of the brake pads. At the same time, they will check the condition of the brake rotors and brake fluid to insure proper performance from these critical components. Regardless of what the CBS system reports, the brake fluid should be changed at 30,000 for the first interval, followed by 60,000 mile intervals thereafter. Finally, BMW recommends replacing the Fuel Filter at the same time. This step prevents dust and debris from entering the engine.
At 60,000 miles we think a car is still in its infancy.  As with earlier intervals, it's once again time to replace the synthetic oil with another fresh amount of the same. Toss in a new oil filter and you are ready to hit the road again…almost.
Don't forget the tire rotation, the fuel filter, the engine air filter and the in-cabin air filter, too. Your BMW of Wyoming Valley mechanics will also examine and repair any suspension and steering parts as well as any other expendables including lighting, both in and out of your X6M. Finally, your service technician will top off the fluids, perform a multi-point inspection and check to insure there are no service campaigns or recall notices needing attention.
The roads less traveled.
The BMW X6M from BMW of Wyoming Valley is one of those special high-performance SAVs that will encourage you to take the long way home, just for the joy of driving. Why not? We would do the same thing, too. And don't worry: if you push your X6M harder than normal, the CBS system will take that into account to let you know the proper time to change the oil and perform other maintenance on your vehicle.
No one understands your BMW X6M like the service technicians and factory-trained mechanics at BMW of Wyoming Valley. Regardless of how complicated a repair may be, they can be counted on for a wealth of information and best practices on the care and proper feeding of your new BMW SAV. But best of all, we are easy to find: Simply Google "mechanics near me," for hours, directions and contact information.

Only the essentials:

An all-wheel-alignment, is one of the most important repairs for you X6M. A cost-effective way to keep your car heading straight, it is also crucial in keeping your tires in their best shape. How can you tell it's needed?Â
That's easy: Feeling a car or SUV pull to the right or left is one giveaway, as it is clear the tires are pointing in a different direction from one another. Have at least one alignment performed per year, because chances are there's a pothole out there with your name on it. It's not a matter of if. It's a matter of when.Â
Your Wyoming Valley mechanics would strongly suggest a tire rotation, first, as it helps to equalize the tire wear at each corner of your vehicle. Your BMW X6M owner's manual will have more information.

And the best part of all, it only costs a penny. Place "Honest Abe" head-first into the tread, to see if Abe drops in up to his ears or more. If so, there is plenty of tread. If there is any air above Abe's hair, it's time for a new set of tires. Â
And then there's our old chestnut: "Bald is for eagles, most babies and some old men, but not your tires." Our BMW Parts department has the replacement tires your X6M needs, all at competitive market prices.

Living in the high heat and humidity as they do, they will wear out much faster than you realize. That's why your BMW of Wyoming Valley service advisors recommend changing them every six months. Come on in. Our parts department has exactly what you need!
