  • In addition to the down payment are there any other fees that are due at signing? Yes, in addition to the down payment due at signing you'll have to also pay first month's payment, license and registration fees, taxes, document fees as well as an acquisition fee. There's also a disposition fee at lease end which can be waived if another car from the same manufacturer is leased.   • How do I tell whether or not I should lease or buy a BMW 2 Series? One of the most important things to consider when leasing a vehicle is mileage. If you drive more than 10 or 12k miles a year, financing not leasing a new vehicle would be a better deal. For customers that don't drive that many miles a lease is great because they get a new vehicle with warranty every few years.   • Is maintenance included in the lease payment? When you are leasing a new BMW 2 Series, the car is covered by manufacturer's original warranty which includes free maintenance.   • Can additional miles be pre-purchased? Yes, additional miles can be bought at a pre-agreed price at the beginning of the lease period.   • Is GAP insurance included in the BMW 2 Series lease? No, Guaranteed Auto Protection (GAP) insurance in not included in the monthly lease but the lessee can purchase it either from the dealer or a different financial institution.   • Can a lease be ended early? Yes, things happen. No matter what the reason is for you to get out of the lease, it is possible to do so by paying the early termination fees.   • Can an expiring lease be extended? Yes, you can re-lease the BMW you are currently driving while looking for a good deal on your next vehicle.   • Can a BMW lease be transferred/assumed? In general, yes, the lease can be transferred. With that being said, a lease cannot be transferred with less than 6 payments remaining. Also, there's a $500 transfer initiation fee ($400 refundable if credit is turned down). There are so-called swap lease sites that can help you deal with listing the vehicle and all the paperwork that goes with transferring the lease.

  • Can certified pre-owned BMW 2 Series vehicles be leased? Yes, you can lease a pre-owned BMW, it's called CPO (certified pre-owned) leasing. All CPO BMWs come with a bumper-to-bumper warranty that extends the factory warranty by two years.
