BMW Gran Coupe 2 Series Models

The new Gran Coupe 2 has a clear increase in size and presence. This along with BMW's new sportier appearance add up to a better overall driving experience. These good looks and improved driving experience are built at BMW's Plant Leipzig in central Germany.

In the United States, two models will be available at launch. The first is the 241 horsepower 228 xDrive Gran Coupe, while the second is a 312 horsepower M235 xDrive Gran Coupe. Both will feature BMW's xDrive all-wheel drive system.

The new second generation BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe has grown nearly an inch longer overall and an inch taller. The result is a generous interior that can comfortably carry up to five passengers and their luggage.

Outside, the anything-but-standard M Sport features a front spoiler with large air intakes below the trademark BMW kidney grille. Swept-back headlamps adorn the front fenders and an illuminated kidney grille with contour lighting will be an available option.

The 2 Series is defined by a long hood, short overhangs, a gently flowing roofline and a long wheelbase. Athletically shaped shoulders define the elongated window graphic with a subtle "2" highlighting the trademarked Hofmeister kink.

The 2 Series Gran Coupe interior breaks new ground.

The interior of the new BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe is entirely leather-free with perforated Veganza in four standard colors. Step up to the M Sport package for a Veganza and Alcantara combination with contrasting stitching. Newly designed heated seats are standard and for the first time, massaging active front seats with lumbar support are now optionally available.

Dynamically backlit interior trims are here, made from milled aluminum, which adds to the Gran Coupe's premium ambiance. Going further, the Gran Coupe can be outfitted with the optional M Sport Package adding a choice of M Sport trim and a leather wrapped M Sport Steering wheel with paddle shift levers for the seven-speed dual clutch transmission.
